A point-of-sale that keeps selling when the internet drops
The problem
Cloud point-of-sale systems stop working the moment connectivity does. In practice that means a queue at the counter, sales recorded on paper, and a reconciliation problem at closing time.
What we built
We inverted the usual design: the till is the source of truth during a sale and the cloud catches up afterwards. Sync is idempotent, so a transaction that is retried is never counted twice.
